Christian Today | Donald Trump’s spiritual adviser Paula White praises the president for bringing ‘Christ back in Christmas’

Donald Trump has made positive changes ever since he assumed the United States presidency, and his spiritual adviser Paula White said one of the best things he did was to put “Christ back in Christmas” and “prayer back in the White House.”

White said past administrations have opted to stay politically correct and avoided greeting people with “Merry Christmas.” But Trump is proud of the holiday that celebrates Jesus Christ. The senior pastor of New Destiny Christian Center in Florida told Fox News: “Well, isn’t it nice to be able to say Merry Christmas and to put Jesus Christ back on the White House lawn? And to have the crusader that we have in our president?”

“It is so vitally important – first off, it’s personal to him. He’s a man of faith, he is a believer. He’s spiritual. I’ve known him for over 17 years,” she continued. “And Trump just hasn’t put Christ back in Christmas, but he’s also put prayer back in the White House, he’s put justice back into, and religious freedom back into, our courts.”

White added that Christmas is a “very personal day” for Trump. Despite what other people might think of his faith, White assured the public that God plays “such an important part of his life.”

“It guides him, it leads him, and one of the things that I love about President Trump is that he is not afraid to take those steps that might be unpopular with other people,” she said.

Rev. Franklin Graham also echoed White’s sentiments during an earlier interview. “Christmas is all about Christ,” Graham said. “I’m so excited that the president isn’t afraid to mention the name of Jesus Christ.” Graham added that he is proud Trump has taken a “bold” stand for religious freedom and not just Christianity.
