Publishers Weekly | October Religion Bestsellers: David Jeremiah Takes #2; Christmas Fiction Dominates

A Life Beyond Amazing, which features nine decisions that can lead to spiritual change by Dr. David Jeremiah, debuted on PW’s Religion Nonfiction Bestsellers list at #2. The author of bestsellers such as Is This the End? promoted the book via media appearances on outlets such as Christian Broadcasting Network and Crossway.

Also among the top five in Religion Nonfiction, The Daniel Dilemma by Chris Hodges debuted at #4 on the list. The book examines the life of the prophet Daniel and draws parallels between the biblical era and challenges Christians face today. Marketing and publicity for the book included radio interviews, a promotional six-week companion Bible study, book signing events, and a Facebook Live interview with author Lysa TerKeurst.

Bishop T.D. Jakes took #6 on the list with his newly-released Soar!, a book that promotes entrepreneurialism and provides “creative ways to go forward into the future,” the author recently told PW.

In Religion fiction, three Christmas-themed novels ranked among the top 10 as the holiday season draws closer. The Beloved Christmas Quilt by Wanda Brunstetter and Jean Brunstetter took #2 while Tamera Alexander landed at #6 with Christmas at Carnton. Lastly, An Amish Christmas by Beth Wiseman came in at #7 on the list.
